There are two direct sequels: Letters to Amaranthine is a short humorous collection of notes between the characters about how they reacted to Awakening and the DLC adventures, while An Apostate's Abominable Guide to Kirkwall, (Dead last updated September 2016) follows the elf Wardens as they get involved with the plot of Dragon Age 2.It clocks in just short of 400,000 words. The NPCs are also all fleshed out realistically through their interactions with the Wardens, and it's just seriously amazing, guys. Each character's evolution is realistic and deeply touching, and the ending remains true to each of their characters, avoiding the dreaded 'just make everything perfect' ending a lot of fanfics go for. Each Warden is beautifully fleshed-out, with realistic flaws, strengths, and quirks related to their backstories. It follows the game's plot closely enough to allow for extraneous detail to be left out, but the real wonder of the story is the characters. This fanfiction is a wonderland of characterization. The author does extremely well portraying how they interact with each other so differently, making each character feel as realistic as possible.

Each character is given a great amount of personality and individuality.
